Surprise Proposal at the Como Conservatory | St. Paul Minnesota

I'm still speechless about the events of last night! Wow! Mike reached out to me a few months ago after a referral from a friend. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Bailey, at the St. Paul Conservatory. The couple had their first date at Como and so this was a special place for them. So we got to work planning! Mike rented out the Sunken Garden for the evening. I met Mike at the Conservatory the week before to come up with a game plan. He was worried that he wouldn't be able to surprise Bailey. She figures every surprise out! So he told her that his company was having a banquet at the Conservatory the night of the proposal. He really played it up! She got dressed up. He quizzed her about his colleagues names. She had no clue.

Thanks to the kind people at the Conservatory, I was able to get into the Sunken Garden space a little early and find a place to hide. I didn't want to ruin the surprise or the grandness of having this beautiful space to themselves! So I hid behind a large planter and had a perfect view of her surprised reaction! Priceless.

After the utter shock of this perfect proposal wore off we took some beautiful photos inside the Sunken Garden. Can I just say what a blessing it was to just experience being inside the Sunken Gardens outside of normal visiting hours. This space is breathtakingly gorgeous. I took way too many photographs. But I mean, this space calls for it!

Once our time was up inside the Sunken Garden, we moved outside and got some really beautiful photos on the grounds too. This night was just spectacular! Way to go Mike!

Congratulations to Mike and Bailey! I wish you all the best.
