I limit the number of sessions I offer each year. Why? Because I believe in the power of quality over quantity. I believe in creating an exceptional experience for each and every one of my clients, from the very first consultation to the final delivery of your products and images. A look at the session process
Your family session should tell your family's story! You don't have to be a professional model to get great photos. It's okay if your youngest doesn't want to pose and cooperate. I have young kids of my own and understand that these sessions don't always go as planned. I go with the flow, meet them where they are at, and capture photos in between! Sometimes the photos where the babies are interacting with mom, dad or with their surroundings are the favorites.
I will help you with poses that make you all look great without being too "posey." So just relax and get ready to have some fun with your family!

What is a Lifestyle Newborn Session?
Lifestyle sessions are meant to capture the real, sweet moments of the first few weeks with a new baby. I like to capture some photos of the baby alone and with the family. Portraits of the baby will have a beautiful and natural feel- no extensive posing or props. I will usually bring a few wraps, bows, and a nice blanket for a simple backdrop for the baby to lay on as an option. We can also use the baby’s crib, personal blanket, or snuggled in parents arms for the baby’s portraits. Portraits of the entire family will focus on the love that radiates when a new baby comes home! We will do some natural poses that will get everyone in the photo. I will also snap some candids throughout the session.
Where do you take lifestyle newborn photos?
In the family home or outdoors (depending on season and preference of the family). I strongly prefer to use natural light as much as possible. If we choose indoors, I like to use rooms with large, open windows. Usually in the baby’s nursery, parents bedroom, or living room.
How long do sessions last?
Momma and baby will guide the timeline of the session. If you need to pause at any point to feed, change, or console your baby or take care of yourself, I want you to do that! Generally speaking, newborn sessions usually last about 2 hours.
