Alyx & Alex's Engagement Session
Some engagement sessions are special because of the location, the weather, or the beautiful light. This one was all of those things—and even more meaningful because the bride-to-be is my younger sister.
Photographing Alyx and Alex's engagement session was such a joy. From the very beginning, they were completely themselves—laughing, talking, and sharing the sweetest moments together. Their love is effortless, and it showed in every single photo. They were so natural in front of the camera that my job felt easy.
Of course, no Minnesota session is complete without a little surprise! Halfway through our session, a pop-up rainstorm rolled in. Instead of letting it dampen the evening, we embraced it. We found a little cover, laughed through it, and waited for the rain to pass. Some of my favorite memories from the session came from those unexpected moments, reminding us that the best stories don't always go according to plan.
I am beyond honored that they've asked me to photograph their wedding this fall. Being trusted not only as their photographer but also as family is something I'll never take for granted. I know their wedding day will be filled with the same joy, laughter, and genuine love that made this engagement session so unforgettable.
