Donovan's Winter Photography Session

HARRIET ISLAND | ST. PAUL, MN | ANOKA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

Donovan's senior session was chilly. January in Minnesota is cold and usually cloudy. Fortunately, this day we had temperatures above zero degrees! I brought out some hand warmers to help keep us warm as we were walking around the park. This was a great example of getting a lot done in a short amount of time. I think we were done within a half hour! Donovan was a trooper. He kept such great spirits throughout the session. Taking photos wasn't something that he was particularly excited about. To be honest, not everyone is jazzed to have photos taken. But that's okay! He made the best of it. And I was blessed to get to know a really great young man. Truly, he has a heart of gold.

We met at Harriet Island in St. Paul. The park has some really interesting photo op spots with views of the St. Paul skyline, some neat architecture and the river boats. Luckily, the paths were decently plowed (we had a lot of snow this year).

Check out some highlights of Donovan's senior session. I felt it was required to sprinkle in some black and whites during this session. Felt like a Calvin Klein ad!
